| Twinkle Variations Duration 8' This work won the UK Songwriting Contest in 2008. It's always fascinating what different composers make of the same source material. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". This piece was commissioned by "The Learning Orchestra", an amateur orchestra, who tackle "proper" works such as Beethoven Symphonies. They gave it's first performance in September 2007. Written to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "The Learning Orchestra". It's due to be premiered in 2017 in London, in the UK. It starts with the strings on open strings and the wind playing a BAG tune, the sort of tune that beginners play.
